Marvel is having an incredible 2022 with movies like this Black Panther: Wakanda Forever and shows like Ms. is amazing delighting fans of the genre around the world. However, 2023 looks better and smack dab on the studios’ release calendar is the Captain Marvel next event The miracles. The Brie Larson starring superhero epic releases in theaters next July which means marketing for the film is just around the corner. Today, Larson shared a new behind-the-scenes image teasing the heroes in front of and behind the camera.


The photo shows Larson taking a selfie with Iman VellaniMs. marvel, Teyonah Parris‘ Monica Rambeau, and the film’s director Nia DaCosta (Candyman) with the caption “WARNING: beautiful humans”. There are several MCU adventures between now and The miraclesbut we know thanks to D23 and Ms. is amazingpost credit scene by Larson that this movie will be a body swap comedy. While the original Captain Marvel was considered a middling entry in the MCU by many fans, it surprisingly opened many new doors for the universe including Ms. is amazing and WandaVision which are probably the two best MCU Disney+ shows to date. Ms. is amazing is this a good family driven coming-of-age superhero story while WandaVision creatively continues Monica Rambeau’s story from Captain Marvel. What those shows had in common was that they had two amazing performances The Marvels’ starring Vellani and Parris. That’s why it will be fun to see the new cosmic trio together, especially Ms.

The other reason to be excited about this movie is DaCosta behind-the-camera. His direction on the reboot of Candyman last year is what makes the horror film one of the most intriguing theatrical experiences of 2021. From that film, DaCosta has a great sense for scale, character, and tone that are important when you’re working on a big Marvel sequel like this. He is also the reason The miracles has the potential to be the most stunning MCU film ever. However, as good as this sequel is, it’s nice to know that there was a real Marvel family involved in making this movie.
