Why Dogpool Had To Appear In Deadpool 3
Little is known about the premise of Deadpool 3. Hugh Jackman will reprise his role as Wolverine, and, despite the film taking place in 20th Century Fox’s Marvel universe, it will be part of the MCU franchise. In MCU Phases 4 to 6 considered “The Multiverse Saga,” it’s safe to assume that Deadpool, Wolverine, and potentially more characters from Fox’s X-Men The franchise will join the MCU, perhaps permanently.
The likely multiversal nature of Deadpool 3 also creates the possibility of giving the Deadpool Corps its live-action debut. Considering the prominence of the multiverse in upcoming MCU installments, it’s fitting to introduce Deadpool’s alternate-universe doppelgängers, including Dogpool.
