Bieber posted on his Instagram story on Monday afternoon that H&M released the line without his permission, telling his 270 million Instagram followers that the pieces were “trash,” adding, “I wouldn’t buy it if I were you.”
It’s unclear what items Bieber was referring to, but on Monday afternoon, H&M posted images of colorful hoodies and other items listed under the singer’s name, some of which include the phrase “I miss you more than life,” lyrics from his 2021 the song “Ghost” (items were no longer available on Wednesday).
An H&M representative denied Bieber’s claims in an email to Forbes on Monday, saying the company “followed the proper approval procedures” as it does with “all other licensed products and partnerships.”
