New Delhi : India reported 201 new coronavirus infections, raising the toll to 4.46 million, while active cases rose to 3,397, Union Ministry of Health said Saturday.
The death toll is 5,30,691 with one death reconciled by Kerala, the data is updated at 8 am by the ministry.
The daily positivity was recorded at 0.15 percent and the weekly positivity at 0.14 percent.
A total of 90.97 crore tests have been conducted for the detection of COVID-19 so far, and 1,36,315 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours, the ministry said.
Active cases comprise 0.01 percent of total infections. The national COVID-19 recovery rate has increased to 98.80 percent, he said.
The Ministry said that an increase of 17 cases were registered in the active count of COVID-19 in a span of 24 hours.
The number of people who recovered from the disease rose to 4,41,42,791, while the case fatality rate was recorded at 1.19 percent.
India has so far recorded 4.46 crore (4,46,76,879) cases of COVID-18.
