Judge Mathis talks about PnB Rock and “suckers” to solve gun issues | Popgen Tech

Judge Greg Mathis recently shared his thoughts on the untimely death of PnB Rock and the wave of violence currently affecting hip hop.

On September 12th, the Philly rapper was robbed and shot at Los Angeles Roscoe’s Chicken and Waffles while eating with his girlfriend. Three suspects — a 17-year-old boy, his father and mother — have since been arrested and charged in connection with the case. The Police are still looking for the fourth suspect who they believe gave the father and son the location of PnB.

When asked about the death of the young star and the advice he would give to young people to prevent gun violence in the future, Judge Mathis did not hold back. During an interview with REVOLT last week, he insisted that people “stop suppressing.”

“My advice is not to stay young. We all pretend to be so tough and macho, but we fall into the trap that has either been set up or occurred as a result of economic deprivation and denial of equal education,” he began. “In addition to what I mentioned, when you add in the disposal of firearms or drugs, it’s a trap, and if you go for it, then you’re a shoe — you’re not a street-wise man at all.”

The famous judge called the number of guns on the street as another major issue. “I want to know if people understand the rate of homicide by gunfire has increased by 20 percent as gun ownership has increased by 20 percent. The number of guns in the streets has a counter-effect on the number of shootings and murders,” he explained, adding, “Some of the main causes come from our brothers and sisters who are not aware that they are being pawns for a system that demonizes them. already, and you are given a weapon additional from those who want to demonize you.”

He also shared his opinion on police brutality and where it comes from, noting, “Part of the police shootings, in my opinion, come from the demonization of the Black man because [the belief is] the ‘Black should be afraid.'”
