Marvel Corners Itself Into A Trap With Iconic Thunderbolts Contract | Popgen Tech

The upcoming Thunderbolts movie may feature Sentry – the hero with the “power of a thousand suns” – as its central antagonist, according to a new rumor shared by an MCU scooper CanWeGetToast.
The introduction of the Sentry into the MCU is something that fans have been clamoring for for a long time, with fancasts already pouring in all over Twitter. However, Sentry’s alleged villainous role in Thunderbolts comes with a slight problem.
In the comics, he boasts an impressive array of superpowers similar to DC’s Superman. Meanwhile, the Thunderbolts are your typical “street-level superheroes”, a team made up of a temporary “Captain America, a Black Widow, an Abomination, and Hawkeye – a line-up that, by all accounts, has nothing against a man with the power of a thousand suns.
This is why fans believe that Marvel needs to reduce Sentry’s power if he is really going to face the Thunderbolts team.
Love & Thunder made Waititi Marvel Fandom’s Favorite Punching Bag
If the rumor is true, and Marvel decides to introduce Sentry as he is in the comics, the Thunderbolts are “dead as hell”, according to fans.
It’s not even about the eternal urge to complain about things (which, let’s just say, happens a lot in fandoms).
“What are the thunderbolts gonna do against Sentry. I’m not even one of those annoying people who complain that everyone has the same powers but I have no idea what they’re gonna do against him,” Twitter user michael74972245 wondered.
Currently, there are no official plot details when it comes to Thunderbolts. According to the leak, Valentina Allegra “created” the Sentry, and fans already suspected that she would try to use the Thunderbolts to fix her mistake.
Thunderbolts hits theaters on July 26, 2024.
