Marvel Phase 4 Movies Ranked Worst to Best: ‘Eternals,’ ‘Thor 4’ | Popgen Tech

  • “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” closes the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s latest film release.
  • Insider ranks the seven movies in Marvel’s Phase Four from worst to best.
  • “Eternals” is easily the worst. “No Way Home” is the most rewatchable despite some flaws.

The fourth installment of Marvel movies, which began with 2021’s “Black Widow” and ends with “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever,” is a mixed bag of sequels, origin stories, and a very long which is overdue standalone.

In an effort to break away from safe, formulaic films, which have been successful box-office hits time and time again, the studio has leaned on the unique voices of its directors — Chloé Zhao, Sam Raimi, and Taika Waititi — to offer something new. But, more often than not, the MCU stumbles into three of the lowest-grossing films since 2011’s “Thor.”

The biggest problem with Phase Four is that almost every movie tries to do too much. Most of the seven films on this list have introduced too many characters while also requiring service to the larger MCU machine to set up multiple sequels and shows within its own, often complex, story.

From “Eternals” to “Spider-Man: No Way Home,” here are Marvel’s Phase Four movies ranked by rewatchability.
