Marvel’s version of God just made a major decision about Galactus that will affect both the Devourer of Worlds and his mother, Taaia, in a big way.
Spoilers for Marvel Comics’ Defenders Beyond #5The heroes of the miracle have just met the face of god in One Above Allwith the creator of the Marvel Universe making significant decisions about Galactus. In Defenders Beyond #5 of Marvel Comics, Galactus’ mother, Taaia, is told that she must not return to her timeline, as it will have devastating effects as she now knows what her son will become. As a result, Taaia finds a new role in the universe.
Galactus’ mother Taaia has been an important member of the current Defenders, as she joined the timeline-traveling superteam after being plucked from the Sixth Cosmos. Throughout her journey through the various Cosmos, Taaia is empowered by the Phoenix while also learning the truth about what her child will become in Marvel’s future as the Devourer of Worlds. Now, after meeting Marvel’s version of god, the One Above All, Galactus’ mother is forbidden to return to his timeline, as it would cause great damage to the Multiverse past, present, and future.
In Defenders Beyond #5 by Al Ewing and Javier Rodriguez from Marvel Comics, the heroes enter the House of Ideas and face the creator of the Marvel Universe, the One Above All. After getting a chance to question the god, Taaia asks about Galactus. The One Above All, explaining that he represents the area between action (comics) and creation (reality), tells him that while Galactus is above his design, he cannot return to the Fourth Cosmos with knowledge. in his future. He even apologizes for not allowing him to return to his timeline.
Most of All Refused to Let Galactus’ Mother Come Home
As a result of the One Above All’s decision not to allow Taaia to return home, she remains at the Blue Marvel and awaits the next cosmic emergency that requires the Defenders’ help.
