Mizoram Governor Conducts Preamble Mass Reading | Popgen Tech
Governor of Mizoram – Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati joined the nationwide celebrations of Constitution Day 2022, during a solemn function held at Raj Bhavan in Mizoram this afternoon.
During this function, the Governor led the mass reading of the Preamble of the Constitution of India.
It is worth noting that the ‘Constitution Day’ is also known as ‘Samvidhan Divas’, celebrated every year on November 26 to commemorate the adoption of the Constitution of India. The Constituent Assembly of India adopted the Constitution of India on 26 November 1949, which came into force on 26 January 1950.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, laid the foundation stone of an effigy of Dr BR Ambedkar in 2015. To commemorate the occasion, November 26 is celebrated every year as Constitution Day.
Based on the theme ‘India: Mother of Democracy’, the day aims to raise awareness about the Indian Constitution and honor its architects.
In this connection, every citizen is invited to participate in the online reading of the Preamble of the Constitution of India in 22 official languages and English (readpreamble.nic.in). Citizens are also invited to take the online quiz on India – The Mother of Democracy (constitution.nic.in).
