A London-based couple who have recently moved to Norwich are opening a ‘trendy’ vintage clothing store in the Lanes.

Husband and wife Miles Oakley, 64, and Sarah Perry, 56, are launching Vintage Apparel at 15 St Giles Street on Tuesday, December 27.

Prices will start from £9.99 and there will be both men’s and women’s clothing, including brands such as Patagonia, Nike and The North Face.

Mr Oakley said: “Vintage clothing will be at the forefront of fashion with the latest trends, from combat trousers and mini skirts to overcoats and ski suits.

“We moved to Norwich five months ago as my wife grew up in Norfolk and we have friends here.

“We walked around Norwich and loved the atmosphere with all the independent shops and it seemed to have a real community spirit.

“I came across the store and thought it would be a great opportunity.”

He previously ran the vintage brand East End Thrift Store in London, which had concessions in places such as Selfridges and House of Fraser, while Mrs Perry is a graphic designer.

Vintage Apparel will be open from 10am to 6pm Monday to Saturday and 11am to 4pm on Sundays.
