Tourism Prince Albert says people from across Canada can be seen wearing its merchandise and showing pride in the Gateway City.

When the PA#SK clothing line hit the market last fall, it was meant to be a souvenir for passers-by, but it soon became a popular item among locals.

“It exceeded our expectations.”

“People are really proud of where they’re from, that Prince Albert is their home,” Dwayne Cripp of Prince Albert Tourism told CTV News on Friday.

Krip said sales tripled this month compared to last year. He said customers have sent products to family members from coast to coast.

“People would come here and say they were sending them to their daughter, who now lives in Vancouver. There are people who ship them to the east coast. It’s just amazing,” he said.

He said it brings more attention to the city and puts the Prince Albert name and brand “out there.” The logo shows the local landscape of agriculture, forest and lakes.

“It’s really symbolic for Prince Albert,” Cripp said.

The symbol is now found on apparel such as hoodies, sweatshirts, t-shirts and items such as coffee mugs, fridge magnets, frisbees, key chains and sunglasses.

Merchandise can be found at the travel center at the corner of Second Avenue and Marquis Road.
