PNB Recruitment 2022: Punjab National Bank (PNB) is hiring Retired/ Retired Officers of Indian Army, Indian Air Force and Indian Navy, retired/ going to retire within three months from the date of advertisement i.e. on or before 06.03.2023 for the posts of Senior Defense Banking Adviser and Defense Banking Adviser. According to the official notification of PNB Recruitment 2022, there is only 12 vacancies for these posts. Recruitment will be done on a contractual basis.
Last date for submission of application is 23 December 2022. While applying for the post, the applicant must ensure that he/she meets the eligibility and other norms mentioned above on the specified date and that the details given by him/her are correct. The mere submission of an application for empanelment or approval of the name for empanelment does not in any way constitute a guarantee for the allocation of the employment of a consultant of any nature by the Bank. Allotment of posting in PNB Head Office/Zonal Offices/Circle Offices to Defense Banking Consultants is the prerogative of the Bank. Candidates are advised not to change their appearance until the recruitment process is completed. Failure to produce the same photograph at the time of the Interview may lead to disqualification.

Punjab National Bank (PNB) is recruiting for the posts of:
- Senior Defense Banking Adviser – 3
- Defense Banking Consultant – 9
Eligibility Criteria for PNB Recruitment 2022:
1. Senior Defense Banking Adviser
Rank in the Indian Army or Equivalent Rank in the Indian Air Force/Indian Navy:
Brigadier in Indian Army or Equivalent in Indian Air force or Indian navy
Age Limit:
Retiring/retired officers below 60 years of age
2. Defense Banking Adviser
Rank in the Indian Army or Equivalent Rank in the Indian Air Force/Indian Navy:
Selection Grade Colonel in Indian Army or Equivalent in Indian Air force or Indian navy
Age Limit:
Retiring/retired officers below 58 years of age
Duration for PNB Recruitment 2022:
The tenure of the holder of any of the above mentioned posts shall be initially for one year and will be further reviewed on an annual basis subject to the condition of good health and performance of the Defense Adviser (SDBA/DBA) . The term of engagement will automatically expire permanently on reaching a total of 05 years of engagement or 65 years, whichever is earlier.
Salary for PNB Recruitment 2022:
1. Senior Defense Banking Adviser
- The fixed compensation package per annum will be Rs.15.60 lacs.
2. Defense Banking Adviser
- The fixed compensation package per annum will be Rs.14.40 lacs.
Note:
1. No allowance such as dearness allowance, monthly house rent allowance, petrol reimbursement, staff car, etc. will not be paid/provided to the engaged executive.
2. Engaged executives are not eligible for any type of staff loan, medical aid/benefits, superannuation benefits, travel allowances, leave pay, carriage, entertainment, newspaper, cleaning expenses, insurance, or any other staff benefits scheme. .
3. Income tax, professional tax, and any other statutory tax/obligation is paid by the engaged executive.
4. Reimbursement of expenses incurred on official visit: Expenses incurred on business travel (outside the station of the place of posting) will include travel fare, lodging, and per diem as per entitlement of the Bank’s Deputy General Manager for the SDBA and General Assistant. Manager to DBA respectively.
5. Leave Rules: Leave for one day will be provided every month for the engaged executives if his/her job profile requires to visit the office regularly, otherwise, if the executive is engaged on a of work from home/off site there will be no leave of any kind provided to the engaged executive.
