Secret Wars Villain May Be Teased By Marvel | Popgen Tech
Fans are excited to know more about the upcoming movies Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and Avengers: Secret Wars. Now the villain for Avengers: Secret Wars may have just been revealed in Marvel’s latest announcement.
Fans are already expecting the titular Kang the Conqueror to be the villain of Avengers: The Kang Dynasty. Because of this, many expected his role Avengers: Secret Wars. Now, according to Marvel’s announcement, it appears that an additional villain may be joining the particular film.
The new announcement includes the disclosure of Avengers Beyond, a new comic event. Fans are familiar with the original Secret Wars the comic event will recognize the significance of the title. This is a reference to the Beyonder, the villain of the original Secret Wars arch
As the following logline teases, “The Avengers will finally realize the shocking truth behind their latest, action-packed adventure when they face the one and only Beyonder.” Additionally, they mentioned the following about the villain’s new goals, saying that “the omnipotent orchestrator behind the groundbreaking original SECRET WARS is back with a vengeance and has created his latest twisted scheme for the Marvel Universe!”
As for the titular Avengers, their position seems troubling:
“Earth’s Mightiest Heroes have realized something or someone has influenced them over the past few months, altering the very fabric of reality in an attempt to prepare the planet for a threat that could destroy everything. Here, now, this invisible individual will be dragged, kicking and screaming, out of the shadows and into the light—and revealed as the Beyond! Something big is coming to the Marvel Universe…”
The story will be handled by none other than Derek Landy and Greg Land. But how does it fit into the MCU? Well, let’s take a look at the Beyonder.
The character is introduced as a member of a near-universal entity called the Beyonders. They exist outside of the Multiverse, where the Beyonder is initially unaware that there are other members of his race. He finds out about the Marvel Universe after the Molecule Man accidentally opens a hole in the Beyonder’s reality. And, as a result, he began to observe the Earth.
This leads to the first Secret Wars event. He placed both Marvel’s heroes and villains in a giant place called Battleworld. However, in Secret War II, he makes a physical effort to break through to Earth. And in 2015 Secret Wars event – all Beyonders are the focus. However, in the end, Doctor Doom manages to steal all of their power so that he can preserve existence from being erased. This is a callback to the original Secret Wars event where he briefly stole the power from the Beyonder.
Because of this, it is possible that Beyonder will be introduced as a villain Avengers: Secret War. Whether or not he is the main villain in place of Kang the Conqueror, however, remains to be seen. But it certainly makes sense to introduce him for more potential stories in the future. Especially if they’re trying to reintroduce him in the comics. Furthermore, it could pave the way for Doctor Doom’s own appearance if they want to make the storyline comic-accurate. We’ll just have to see how everything continues to develop.
Michael Waldron is currently writing the screenplay for Avengers: Secret War. A director for the film is yet to be attached.
