The Eagles lost to rival Revelstoke after an 8-round series

Sicamous Eagles fans came out to support the team and their community at the Teddy Bear Toss, the last home game of 2022.

The Eagles played the Revelstoke Grizzlies in Sicamous on Friday, Dec. 16, and with the home team’s first goal, fans poured stuffed animals and warm winter clothing onto the ice, which the Eagles collected and donated to support the Eagle Valley community. Society (EVCSS).

A total of 98 teddy bears, 64 bags, 50 pairs of mittens and about 12 pairs of socks were collected, along with over 100 pounds of food.

The arena was packed with fans and TELUS also presented Mascon’s EVCSS with a $1,500 check at halftime.

The game ended 4-3 in favor of the Grizzlies after an eight-run streak in the series.

The Eagles are now off and will play their next home game on January 6, 2023.
