‘Sins of Sinister’ Gives the Future of the Marvel Universe to Mister Sinister | Popgen Tech

Ever since Jonathan Hickman’s HOUSE OF X and POWERS of X, Mister Sinister has been planning his latest move… and now, it all comes true in SINS OF SINISTER with wild and unexpected results. A new trailer for the upcoming event finds Sinister banished from Krakoa, but this is far from the last time mutantkind – and the Marvel Universe – must face him. The never-before-seen artwork pits the villain against the Avengers, and while the results of this epic battle won’t be revealed until Sinister’s new age dawns, the twisted hybrids that have emerged since then offer hint of genetic madness to come.

“The sinner hid around, being a sinner, for all the Krakoan Ages. Eventually, he will make a play. It’s already, and it’s bigger than you can imagine, spanning 1000 years of nightmares,” explained Gillen. “The dystopic future stories are a classic X-Men. We wanted to find a new way to approach that, and provide something we hadn’t seen before. I think we’ve got it. The bad guy gets what he wants, and it’s hell for everyone. With the Sinister.”

“I’m joking that it makes AGE OF APOCALYPSE look like SWIMSUIT SPECIAL and I’m not saying that in terms of quality or anything,” he told ComicBook.com. “What I’m really saying is, at the end of the thousand years, it’s going to be apocalyptically bad.”

“You start with a very low-level conspiracy vibe. In the middle, you have bad space opera, and then a far future of full-on gothic, operatic horror,” he added. “That’s the vibe of the three [time periods]and then we end with SINS OF SINISTER: DOMINION to wrap it all up.”
