The Marvels Merchandise Showcases New Look Kamala and Carol’s Updated Costumes | Popgen Tech

The release of Captain Marvel and Ms. Marvel in new merchandise shed light on their respective appearances in their upcoming team-up film, The Marvels.

New promotional art has been published showing updated designs for the superhero stars of The miracles.

New costume designs for Carol Danvers and Kamala Khan — also known respectively as Captain Marvel and Ms. Marvel — was recently used as the inspiration for Hot Wheels’ line of Mattel’s “Character Cars” miniature toys. A miracles The fan account shared photos of the toys on Twitter, complete with boxes and art showing off the characters’ striking new look for the upcoming film.

Kamala’s outfit features all the instantly recognizable characteristics of her Ms. Marvel identity — the bolt on the chest, the iconic scarf around his neck, and the striking combination of red and blue. Carol also looks familiar, with a similar color scheme (albeit somewhat restrained in red) and her own unique logo: the emblem of the interplanetary military unit known as Starforce.

This is not the first time new developments for The miracles emerged through the release of themed merchandise. The character of Monica Rambeau — played by Akira Akbar in 2019 Captain Marvel movie and Teyonah Parris in the Disney+ series in 2021 WandaVision — also appears in a new costume on The miracles. This was recently revealed when a Reddit user shared a photo of a pillow featuring the character decked out in his own Starforce-inspired suit, likely influenced by his appearance as Spectrum/Photon in the Marvel comics.

The Different Kinds of Awesome

While Kamala and Carol may share similarly named alter egos, in many ways the characters themselves couldn’t be more different. Where Carol is an alien hybrid and former Air Force pilot, Kamala is a Pakistani-American student and avid superhero fan from New Jersey. Monica is a close friend of Carol and had her own power in the events of WandaVision. He will also play an important role in the film.

Director Nia DaCosta, also known for directing Jordan Peele’s Candyman remake, recently shared her thoughts on the chemistry between the three characters in The miracles. “I find it really interesting, the three of them together, and how they become a little bit of a sisterhood with their own different points of view,” she explained. “It’s actually really nice and fun, and very sweet to watch them all work together.”

The miracles will hit theaters from July 28, 2023. Captain Marvel and Season 1 of Ms. is amazing is available to stream in full on Disney+.
