PARKERSBURG, WV (WTAP) – The United Way Alliance of the Middle Ohio Valley is getting into the holiday spirit with some community partners.
The nonprofit is partnering with First Neighborhood Bank for a warm clothing drive. This is part of the organization’s quarterly promotion, and this is the second year the group has worked with the bank in this promotion.
“There are needs in our community that never go away. And so the real value of that is understanding that. And understanding the work we do. And then the organizations that trust us to know that no matter the donation, we’re going to get it to where it’s needed most in the community,” says United Way Alliance MOV Executive Director Stacey Decicco.
Representatives of both institutions say that they are happy to help those who live in need.
Especially this holiday season.
“There are families, there are children who don’t have a jacket to go to school, and we just hope that whatever we can get in this movement will be put to good use. And that’s why we’re partnering with United Way to bring that to the people who need it,” says First Neighborhood Bank Executive Vice President Todd Nestor.
Grand Central Mall also works with this clothing company.
This promotion will run through the end of February at the Parkersburg, Spencer and Ripley locations.
At this time, they will collect any warm clothes.
