Aizawl : Mizoram Chief Minister Zoramthanga faced a backlash after a video of his daughter Milari Chhangte went viral on social media in which she is seen punching a doctor in the face because the latter refused to see her without an appointment . He was seen attacking the doctor at a clinic in Aizawl
According to various reports, the incident took place last Wednesday. The doctor asked Milari to make an appointment before her visit to the clinic for a consultation with the dermatologist.
In the viral video, Milari was seen walking towards the doctor from a door and punched him in the face. Then they saw a man restricting her movement and taking her to the stairs holding her hand.

According to reports, the doctor asked the Chief Minister’s daughter to make an appointment before coming for check-up.
After the incident, CM Zoramthanga on Saturday took to his Instagram and posted a public letter of apology signed by him and his wife stating that his entire family has “nothing to say” in defense of his daughter’s behavior ‘to the doctor and apologized to the doctor as well as the public. He said he would not justify his conduct in any way.
However, the incident of attack on the doctor triggered protests by members of the Indian Medical Association (IMA) Mizoram where doctors wore black badges at their workplaces.
