In the run-up to Christmas, The Garden Island will be sharing front-page stories daily about families and people (we’re not using their real names) who are struggling and would appreciate a little help.
The Christmas Fund is an opportunity for everyone to provide such assistance. Donations are used by Zonta Club members to purchase gift certificates, which are in turn distributed to families and individuals through social service agencies.
Every donation is counted and recorded. There are no administrative costs and the money goes directly to providing Christmas gifts and food to those in need.
If you’re fundraising for the Christmas Fund, let us know and we’ll spread the word. Anyone who makes a donation of $200 or more can have their photo posted at TGI.
Donations can be made via the Zonta-Kaua’i.org website or checks made out to The Zonta Club of Kaua’i Foundation, PO Box 3032, Lihu’e, HI 96766.
